Why do you work out? Better question: Why do you train? Because there is a difference. After all,
lots of people work out—to burn calories or relieve stress or just because they like to sweat. But athletes train. They train with the purpose of getting faster, stronger, and more agile. They train to get better. And while their purpose defines their training, it also leads to the lean, muscular physique that so many people try to achieve by just "working out."
If you want to take your body and your performance to the next level, then it's time to train with purpose—for the gains you really want. And you can do just that with this cutting-edge 6-week plan created by Men's Health training adviser BJ Gaddour, and brought to you by Dick's Sporting Goods and Under Armour NFL Combine Authentic Gear. (Check out Under Armour's new collection, available at Dick's Sporting Goods.)
This training program is designed to improve your speed, agility, quickness, and explosiveness. It will make you faster in every direction. And it will help you lose fat and build muscle. So it not only trains you to be a better athlete—but to look like one, too.
And yes, it'll also give you one hell of a workout.
How To Do It
Alternate between Workout A and Workout B three times a week, resting at least a day between each session. So in Week 1, you might do Workout A on Monday and Friday, and Workout B on Wednesday. In Week 2, you'd then do Workout B on Monday and Friday, and Workout A on Wednesday. Repeat that process for a total of six week
