Break A Sweat - The Hotel Workout to Keep You Fit on the Fly

Don't let travel sabotage your gains

Traveling means different time zones, pitiful hotel gyms, and long layovers. But those don't have to be excuses for letting your fitness routine go off course. "All you need is your bodyweight and a bed to stay fit on the road," says BJ Gaddour, C.S.C.S., creator of Men's Health StreamFIT. Since the bed is softer and less stable than a box or bench, your muscles have to work even harder to complete even simple moves, like the stepup. You get a greater muscle activation and a bigger
boost to your metabolism.
Turn your hotel room into a private fitness center with this 12-minute workout from Gaddour. It's guaranteed to build muscle, make you sweat, and rev your metabolism. You can fit it in between meetings, bang it out before your morning shower, or complete it prior to happy hour.
Here's how it works: Perform 30 seconds of each exercise back-to-back. When you've completed all six exercises, rest for 1 minute. That's 1 cycle. Perform 3 cycles total. Fair warning: The exercises will get progressively more difficult each cycle. Watch the video above to follow along with the workout.

1. Stepup on Bed, Left
2. Stepup on Bed, Right
3. Cross-Body Pushup
4. Bed Jump
5. Rolling Plank
6. Bed Runners
